I could even run a background thread checking for the best provider, but it seems like unnecessary overhead?

This is a great idea. I’m concerned about when the best provider may switch, though. For example the user starts inside and best is NETWORK_PROVIDER they shortly after move outside and it becomes GPS_PROVIDER. Would putting a condition in onLocationChanged to check best again be a good idea?

Thanks a lot for this post.My activity contains no.of views(means layouts),here i am using swipe for move one view to another view.some times its show error(Bitmap).

why am I getting these errors:

”
- ViewGroup cannot be resolved to a type
- Incompatible conditional operand types View and ViewGroup
”

basically on each of this lines:

That’s a nice looking device. I like that it integrates the keyboard also. There’s a market for it, especially with the lower price point. Look at how well the Asus Transformer is doing.
